A process evaluation of Quality Improvement Package in a Tertiary Hospital of Nepal was successfully executed by Anweshan for Golden Community. The objectives of the study were to explore the ‘applicability of device’, to assess ‘implementation’, ‘mechanism of impact’ and ‘context’ on the use of device. The study also appraised safety, usability and ergonomics and analysed frequency of implementation of skill drills and PDSA meetings.
9 IDIs with medical nurses and 3 IDIs with the data collectors from Golden community at Western Regional Hospital (WRH) of Pokhara were conducted. The data obtained were furthur analysed and a final report was prepared. The nurses and health staff at WRH in Pokhara had been using the NeoBeat newborn heart rate meter and MOYO foetal heart rate meter.
