Anweshan participated and prepared a report on "Workshop on Standarization of Training Program for Helath Sector Emergency Preparedness and Response Readiness". The three days' residential workshop was conducted in Kurintar from 12th January to 14th January, 2019. The workshop was organized by Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit (HEDMU) and Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) of Ministry of Population and Health (MoPH) in association with WHO Nepal and Red Cross.
The workshop brought all the actors working in the field of health emergency and disaster preparedness response and figured out all the training materials and resource for standardizing the trainings. All the lead agencies working on the domains of Community, Pre Hospital Care, Hospital Care and Post Hospital Care were invited to standarize the training programs, develop a common understanding on health emergency and disaster preparedness capacity building programs and to develop networks with the health sector partners for the capacity building program.
The report prepared contains the overviews, methodologies and conclusions drawn from the pre hospital and post hospital conference organized prior to the standarization workshop. The report contains detailed information about the various activities carried throughout the workshop along with the rationale behind them. The outputs yeilded out of the rigorous groupwork done in the second day were thorougly written in the report. The suggestions, recommendations and action plans for future have also been enlisted in the report.
