Dr. Binod Kumar Sah is a Senior Research Advisor at Anweshan since April 2023. He is a highly experienced professional in the field of vaccinology, with a wealth of expertise spanning over 20 years. His areas of specialization include the surveillance of vaccine preventable diseases, observational epidemiological studies (including cost of illness), clinical development, post-licensure effectiveness trials, and vaccine delivery through public health systems in resource-constrained settings.

Binod Sah's contributions have garnered recognition and accolades from prestigious organizations. He was nominated by the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), based in South Korea, for the Gates' Vaccine Innovation Award in 2012. In 2014, he became a valued member of the Global Health Clinical Consortium leadership team. He also holds the esteemed title of Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, UK, since October 2012.

In terms of accomplishments, Binod Sah was honored as the Scientist of the Year (Epidemiology) at the IVI in Seoul, South Korea, in October 2011. His educational background includes an MS (Master of Science) in International Health Policy and Management from Brandeis University, USA, attained in 2007. He also holds an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from the BPK Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal.

Binod Sah's prior professional experiences encompass notable roles. He served as the Managing Director at Meera Biotech Pvt Ltd in Kathmandu and worked as a National Professional Officer (NO-C) for the Expanded Program on Immunization at the World Health Organization, Kathmandu  where 2 of his vaccine; against rota virus (Rotavac) and  against typhoid (Typbar-TCV) were WHO-prequalified in 2018
